Gizmo, Belle and Louise

My name is Louise Wilson and I got involved in Paws With Patience when my friend Mary encouraged me to try visiting the nursing home with her and Ranger one night. I have been going ever since. I love to see the smiles on the patient's face or hear them say "oh how soft", when they pet Gizmo and hear their stories about pets they once had. So many have stories of their pets that they once had in their lives. Sometimes it's hard to understand them but just listening is all they seem to want.

My name is Gizmo and my Mom says I am a real ham because I love to curl up on the bed with the patients. Sometimes I go right to sleep and the patients want me to stay with them, but when Mom leaves I go with her. Belle is just starting to visit and I am sure after I teach her the ropes she will be right along side of me curled up. I guess as kid sisters go she isn't half bad… I'll keep her.

My name is Madame Honey Belle. Everyone just calls me Belle for short. I am 8 months old and I think I might like this nursing home thing. I get to see a lot of people but sometimes it's overwhelming for me. I watch Gizzy and she doesn't mind a bit so I guess its ok. Mom says I came from a Paws with Patience lady and if it's the ones she calls Grandma Joan and Grandpa Steve, well I sure do love seeing them in the lobby of the nursing home. So I guess I will keep coming and give it a try.
