Jake and Marsha
Well I'll start by my dogs name
is Jake and mine is Marsha last name for both of us is Lutz. I usually refer to
him, as my son I am sure you dog people would understand that. He is a Scottish
terrier. That’s terrier not terror like sometimes he is referred to. How and
why I made the decision on the Scottie dog was this, I was looking for a no
shedder with some personality. Oh boy did we get that! I was looking for a
local breeder but did not find one. So (shhhh) I got him at a pet store. I
am not sorry I did that but I feel I got lucky. His Birthday is
December 8. He is one year old now. For personality he is a great dog most of
the time. I have grandchildren and he is just wonderful with them. He is now
developing a dislike to male dogs especially bigger ones then him! (I think that
is called the JACK syndrome). But needless to say I love him just the same even
though that makes me really upset at times. How I came to Paws was last
summer I went to the pet fair with Jake. I saw the Paws booth set up and Joyce
asked me if I ever thought about joining such a group and I said as a
matter of fact I did but didn’t know how to go about it. Well of course
the rest of that story is history. I think Joyce and Becky make you feel welcome
and I enjoy what the group does for the less fortunate. I know life is way
to short and If Jake and I can make a difference in people’s lives young or
old that is what I am about. I am proud to be part of a group that does a
wonderful volunteer service and hope we are all together for many years to come.
Thanks to Joyce and Becky for all the extra hours!
