In the summer of 1999, Christy, my first Great Pyrenees and I joined Paws with Patience and began to visit various nursing homes in Bucks and Montgomery counties.  By mid-2001, "little Pyrenees brother" Merlin joined Christy and they began to visit nursing homes together.  After Christy passed away due to cancer, Merlin continued to visit nursing homes, schools, libraries and hospitals.  Today, Merlin has a little Great Pyrenees sister, Bonnie.  Like Merlin, Bonnie is white and very furry, is a certified therapy dog, has an obedience title and loves to visit people and collect head and ear pets.  When not visiting nursing homes, Merlin attends obedience and agility classes and Bonnie attends obedience classes, practices lure coursing and digs up the back yard.  In the summer months Bonnie and Merlin enjoy their swimming pool and in the winter they love to curl up in the snow and let the snow fall over them.
