Piper is a frisky and loving golden Retriever whose favorite hobbies are chasing balls (but not giving them back), hanging out with her human at the barn, sleeping on a king size bed with her stuffed animals, and eating ice cream. She is such a little diva!

Jake has been a registered therapy dog since he is a year old. At almost 10 years old, he is still out visiting nursing homes at least once a week with his human volunteer, Marsha. He also visits children with cancer on occasion. In his spare time he likes the mountains, playing ball, swimming, car rides and just hanging out with his family anywhere. It has been a honor to have him as a partner, to touch other peoples lives. I pray for his good health to continue for many years. We will continue to visit in Joyce's memory !
Kia is a 4-year-old retired racing greyhound. She spent her first 2 1/2 years in Florida and we rescued her through Linda Ann's Greyhound Rescue. Within the first minute of meeting Kia, she laid down on her back, wagged her tail, and smiled at us. Kia has a sense of humor, and is very friendly and adaptable. She loves to sleep. She adores people and especially enjoys the children when she goes to the various schools for "The Reading to the Dogs" program.
He is an adorable 7-year-old, 7 pound, purebred "blue", long haired chihuahua. He
has a great personality, is fun loving, and very happy. Sneakers is named
that because his four paws are tan up to first joint—then they are black
the rest of the way up his legs. So it looks like he has high top sneakers
on! He has been a therapy dog since he was one year old. he is crate-trained
and litter-box trained. He loves people, especially children. His favorite
modes of transportation are either in my "purse", his "car seat", or his doggy
stroller. Walking is his least preferred mode of transportation. By-the-way,
he is perfect!!!
This is Sweetie Pie doing her second most favorite thing. Her most favorite
thing is visiting children and hearing them read. As soon as I put on her
'working collar', she knows what's going to happen, and can barely contain herself. She
wiggles her whole body when we walk into a school or the library, her tail
never stops wagging, and she gives kisses as fast as she can.
Buster is a lovable, gentle dog who is a senior member of Paws with Patience. He works well with both children and seniors and loves to get out to do volunteering. One of Buster's favorite pet therapy programs is the "Lunch Bunch with Buster."

Tasha is a retriever/collie mix who is a top team member in her dog volunteer family. She is friendly and also patient, a special therapy dog who does all things gracefully. She especially enjoys entertaining people with her many tricks and getting treats in return!
Keena is a young shepherd mix who volunteers at Paws with Patience along with her doggie housemates Buster and Tasha. She is bright and friendly and just loves attention! One of the friskier members of Paws with Patience, she is especially good with children and anyone who needs a bit of cheering up.
Misty has been doing therapy for 6 years in Florida and 4 in Pennsylvania. She loves people and getting dressed up! An obvious member of doggie royalty, she enjoys greeting adults and children alike while being chauffered in her pet stroller.
7 year-old Casper (left), is an experienced therapy dog but he pales beside his son, Frost (right), 3 years old, who is a veteran at 2-1/2 years experience! Frost and Casper just love Children, and enjoy their visits to the Library so the children can read to them. They can both dance on their hind legs for treats. Their favorite passtime is visiting senior centers and sitting on people's laps or taking a ride in their doggie stroller.
This super-sweet, delightful dog was a breeder for The Seeing Eye's program and gave birth to 33 puppies spread out among 4 litters! She is now retired from The Seeing Eye and is on her second career as a pet therapy dog who loves to be read to and a canine blood donor.

Kelsey is a seven-year old sable and white Sheltie who is a lovable bundle of energy. But as this picture shows, he knows how to relax, too. He is very calm and content when doing Pet Assisted Learning at the Quakertown Library. At home he loves to run around the house, look out the windows and bark at the neighborhood cats. However, when his deer friends come to the bird feeder he is very quiet because he doesn’t want to scare them away. He is our first Sheltie who actually watches TV, as he cuddles up with us on the couch. His favorite show is the Dog Whisperer.
Ashley is an eight-year old blue merle Sheltie. She loves going out and meeting people. Quakertown Reading Goes to the Dogs is one of her favorite places. She gets sooooo many pats and attention there. At home she loves to drop toys at our feet and then retrieve them. Along with Kelsey, her brother, she guards her human volunteers home very well. Ashley is on guard for strange people and Kelsey is on guard for strange animals! They are a loveable fun two-some who never leave their peoples' side. One couldn’t ask for better companions!

Titan is a very special boy with an incredible story. He was dumped at a high kill shelter with his mother. They were literally both minutes from a certain death. But my volunteer rescue organization arrived just in the nick of time to bring them both safely out of harm's way.
Within days we knew Titan had a very special gift and would make the perfect therapy dog. Although he is still a puppy he is very calm and loves to be right next to you, be petted and given attention. He is truly a precious gift to us.
